Songwriting Improvisation vol.1 – PART 2

______PART 2_________ This is an exercise intended to prime the pump a little bit and keep the channels open clean and wide for those unexpected visitations … ***For all viewers who do not play instruments, sing, or write music- Please be aware that the performance in this video will be quite different from the majority of what you are most likely accustomed to witnessing. -The act of writing a song while simultaneously preforming the song publicly is quite an exciting and, at times even humorous exercise for the person doing it– However, it can often be perceived as meandering/ off key/ off rhythm/ lyrically awkward, even ridiculous.. I am posting my freestyle songwriting videos for the purpose of demonstrating the exercise for other songwriters/ musicians to see and hopefully feel inspired to try for themselves- Many beginner to intermediate level musicians are reluctant to play with, or in front of anyone else- they feel like they “are not good enough”..which is a shame because all anyone needs to create music is a love of music- and some heart- whatever your skill level- even if all you can do is tap your foot unconsciously when listening to the radio– is all you need – ] .. and it just gets better and better I hope to demonstrate to all people who may see my improvisation videos that – 1.) it is a guarantee that you will fuck up, in front of strangers and friends, EVERY TIME you play any music in front of them- be it rehearsed, or improvised.. it is nothing to

What Do Want To Learn Most About Songwriting?

  • Songwriter Tip:

If you have just recorded an independent album that you are self-releasing, again, you really don’t need any additional copyright protection, provided that you choose to spend a bit more on your CD’s booklet and print the lyrics, all the lyrics, in it. Now you have published songs. The songs are undeniably in audio form, with the lyrics and all writing credits are now out in the public, available to everybody. Believe it or not, publication is even better protection than government registration. Consider it the ultimate in protection. You have proof positive of ownership and dates, etc. You have the musicians, engineer, producer, etc., who worked on the album with you who can bear witness that these are your songs.
