    Here’s a trick for all aspiring songwriter’s. If you are writing in the standard pop song structure (the one that ends with a double hook/chorus) try this: find a bridge to take the last chorus to an unexpected key. This will have the effect of drawing the listener in and making the song memorable. The trick is finding the way to make the unusual modulation smooth.
