What Do Want To Learn Most About Songwriting?

  • Songwriter Tip:

Consistency is important in all writing, especially songwriting. Work to keep the tone and language style the same throughout. Keep theme words the same meaning: e.g. ‘rain’ – real rain or trouble. Always choose the appropriate gender for the story. While we’re on the topic, the verb tense is important, e.g. 1st person (I), 2nd person (you), 3rd person (he, she, they). Don’t change without explaining or introducing the new person.
